Understanding vaccination behaviors through an AI chatbot in Suriname

Motivation: In Suriname, vaccination coverage for routine childhood immunizations varies widely, with some communities showing particularly low coverage levels, leaving gaps in protection against preventable diseases. Multiple factors may influence parents’ decisions about vaccination, ranging from access to services to information and trust in health systems. This project uses an AI- powered chatbot to better understand the factors that shape vaccination-related decisions and aims to get a clear picture of how vaccination decisions are made.
